Employment Date - Sold first plant in September of 2018!

Gardening Since - 2016

What got you into gardening? I had a few friends and family members who kept small gardens....but my real start was when I bought my first house in 2017.  I saw the .2 acre yard as a blank canvas and started filling it with food.  I knew nothing and through trial and error, eventually learned how to make a food forest thrive.

My favorite thing about working at Incredible Edible Landscapes is stuffing the nursery with awesome plants and watching my babies grow! Watching new and experienced gardeners along their journey.  Introducing people to new and exotic plants for their collections.  And creating a must see destination for food forest lovers!

When I'm not at work, I am raising our two boys and baby girl with my wife, Iris.  When I am not at work, I'm usually building something or playing in the gardens.  On our off days, we enjoy touring botanical gardens, going on nature walks, and spending time with family.

My favorite fruit tree in the nursery is - it's a close tie between Mango and Jaboticaba.

My favorite mango variety (or top 5!)  is Edward, Sweet Tart, Fruit Punch, Harvest Moon, Pickering, Orange Sherbet, Super Alphonso, Seacrest, Pineapple Pleasure.  I would trade a kidney for a lifetime supply of those.

My favorite thing to grow is Bananas.  They have always fascinated me...I love watching them grow.

Gardening Since - childhood

What got you into gardening? My dad is an orchid collector and my grandma would grow her favorite Cuban foods in our yard growing up - papaya, yuca, culantro, sour orange.  I grew up with a love and appreciation of plants and nature here in South Florida, including a BIG love for mangos.

My favorite thing about working at Incredible Edible Landscapes is sharing what is possible on your land! Gardening is so much fun and I enjoy encouraging others.  Also, being surrounded by beautiful plants!

When I am not at work, I am raising my 3 wild children! I love to go on nature walks, spend time at the beach, and create videos.

My favorite tree at the nursery is Mango 100%.

My favorite mango variety (or top 5!) is Pickering, Edward #1, Beverly, Fruit Punch, Orange Sherbet

My favorite thing to grow is medicinal and culinary herbs and flowers.

Gardening Since - childhood.  One of my earliest memories is planting carrot seeds in my grandma's backyard, harvesting a single, tiny baby carrot and feeling the magic of growing plants.

What got you into gardening?  I have an innate passion for the natural world and love any activity that allows me to fully immerse myself in it - swimming in the ocean, riding horses, walking in a forest, bird watching, etc.  Having kids really inspired me to want to live a healthy lifestyle which naturally led me to veggie gardening.  It started as a container garden on our townhome's patio (complete with tumbling composter on the 2nd story balcony!) and has grown into a 4 acre farm that provides my family and many others with delicious and nutritious food.

My favorite thing about working at Incredible Edible Landscapes is being able to step outside of the office and spend some time getting my hands in the soil.  I'll often take a break after working on the computer for a few hours and rearrange plants, pull weeds, and help customers.  It's such a fun thing to do "at work" - it feels like I'm not working at all!  Also, chatting and connecting with other gardeners who are passionate about the same things is a highlight for me.

When I am not at work, I am hanging out with my kids and husband, making meals using ingredients right from my own farm, tending to my many chickens, ducks, geese, horses, and pigs, gardening, and then collapsing in exhaustion to binge watch trashy reality TV.

My favorite fruit tree at the nursery is Avocado and Mango

My favorite mango variety (or top 5) is Edward, Glenn, Lemon Meringue, Sweet Tart, Pineapple Pleasure

My favorite thing to grow is annual veggies, especially tomatoes and peppers.

Employment Date - January 2025

Gardening Since - childhood!  But more seriously since my son, Anderson, came earth-side.  Food sovereignty became very important to my family.

What got you into gardening? My mom shared so many stories with me about her own mother's love for her plants.  My grandmother talked to her plants every day and always had a lovely flower garden.  My grandfather was equally invested in growing crops like tomatoes, zucchinis, and more in their community garden.  They then shared the excess with the neighborhood!  One of my favorite stories is my mom's tale of coming in from playing and declaring her hunger and being told to "go grab a tomato from the basement" where tables and tables of tomatoes were kept in "cold storage".  Having my own child really sealed the deal as it became clear that kids eat the things that they grow!

My favorite thing about working at Incredible Edible Landscapes is touching plants every day!  The atmosphere of camaraderie; the sights and sounds of kids, animals, and insects; learning about new plants, and DUN DUN DUN!......buying more plants!

When I am not at work, I am in my food forest, playing with my brilliant son, riding my bike deep into nature to spot wildlife, swimming, and observing.

My favorite fruit tree at the nursery is Lemon Drop Mangosteen

My favorite mango variety (or top 5!) is Orange Sherbet, Seacrest, Pineapple Pleasure, Lemon Meringue, Valencia Pride

My favorite thing to grow is INSECTS! (pollinator plants!!!)
