(77 products)

Support species are the backbone of a healthy, thriving food forest. These are the plants that don’t just coexist with your fruit trees — they actively help them grow. From nitrogen fixers and dynamic accumulators to pollinator attractors and ground covers, these plants build soil, protect your crops, and increase biodiversity.

Incorporating support species into your landscape is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to reduce pest pressure, improve fertility naturally, and create long-term resilience in your garden or homestead.

You’ll find a curated mix of native plants, flowering perennials, legumes, and hardy shrubs in this collection — each selected for its ability to nourish, protect, and support your fruit trees and edible plants.
