We’ve had mixed reviews about Canistel fruit among our nursery team… So I set out to make something undeniably delicious with it, and this recipe did not disappoint.
We recently discovered that Canistel fruit ripens the best if you set it on the counter with a bowl overtop, keeping the moisture in.  These are from our ‘Fairchild #2’ tree.
The recipe I found called for 4-5 canistels, coconut milk, 3 eggs, half a cup of coffee, and spices. Â I used Allspice, Nutmeg, and Cinnamon (plus a pinch of salt).
After mixing in the food processor, it went into a graham cracker crust and into the oven. Â Then we refrigerated overnight and shared it with the team.
We were blown away by how good this was!
And if you don’t have a canistel tree yet, order one today so you too can make this delicious treat! Â
